One of the most marvelous sites I know.
This valley, steep at the beginning, after having left Laruns, rushes between two steep walls. Until the Fabrèges Lake (Artouste), it looks like a Pyrenean valley like many others (beautiful, wild and secluded). Then, once past the bridge that leads to the ski resort of Artouste and the famous Petit Train d'Artouste, everything changes. The valley widens showing the path of the emerging Gave d'Ossau. The peak of Ossau, the famous Jean-Pierre (some say Giant of stone) imposes itself above our heads (happy those who have a sunroof like Sergio the vtc Pau driver that I am ☺️)

And then...
And then the Ossau Valley, after having greeted the isards (for those who know how to observe them) opens in apotheosis on the plateau of Anéou. Superb, indescribable, ineffable, breathtaking. Well, I'll stop here because some people would accuse me of being biased (I am not a native Bearnais, which is not necessary because I am one at heart).
Visit the Ossau Valley with Sergio, VTC Driver Pau
To discover the Ossau Valley in half a day or even better with a whole day at your disposal (and a little bit of funding, well, yeah), I will take you on a tour of this jewel of creation (accompanied by cheeses, wines and surprise visits to the heritage).
The half day will cost you 200€ and the full day 300€ (departure from Pau around 9am, return between 6pm and 10pm at your choice). The price includes the driver's salary, fuel and use of the vehicle as well as a hot or cold drink at the Col du Pourtalet.
My Mercedes 4×4 vehicle is fully equipped to drive my clients safely to the ski resorts. Whether it is Laruns, Gourette or Artouste or the Aspe valley and the Pierre Saint Martin or Cauterets, I know the road perfectly. Ask for a quote to reserve your VTC time slot in Pau or elsewhere.
